• Track Chain

Function:

Usually equipped with a tensioning device (such as a spring or hydraulic cylinder) to adjust track tightness.

• Sprocket

Function:

Engages with the track chain to convert engine power into track movement, driving the machine forward or backward.

The tooth profile must match the track chain; wear can cause skipping or derailment of the track.
