Dozer Undercarriage Parts
This split master link for Komatsu D85EX15 is the exact part that lets you break the chain, install, remove, or repair it without pulling the whole track off the machine.

Main Role of the Master Link in a Bulldozer Track Chain
The master link is the only “quick-release” point in the entire track chain loop.
It allows you to:
1. Open the chain in the field for installation or removal
2. Replace a damaged link without cutting or pressing the whole chain
3. Adjust track tension or replace shoes without major disassembly
On a D85EX-15 (216 mm pitch, 39–41 links per side depending on configuration), a good master link must be as strong as the rest of the chain — otherwise it becomes the weak link that stretches, cracks, or loosens under heavy drawbar pull and side loading.

Why Fleet Owners Keep Choosing Our Master Links
1. We control forging, heat treatment, and final machining in-house — no outsourcing surprises
2. Every batch is tested for hardness, tensile strength, and fit
3. We stock both left- and right-hand master links so you never wait

Track Chain Maintenance Tips for D85EX-15 Owners
1. Check track sag every 50 hours — ideal is 30–40 mm on the D85EX-15.
2. Clean packed dirt from the master link area weekly — trapped mud grinds the split faces and accelerates bolt loosening.
3. Torque the master link bolts to 1,000–1,100 Nm (dry) every 250–500 hours and use thread locker.
4. If you ever see oil leaking from adjacent links or the master link bolts working loose, replace the master link immediately — one loose link can destroy the whole chain in weeks.
5. When installing a new chain, always install the master link on the top run (between carrier rollers) so it’s easier to access later.
