I. Basic Component Structure

  1. Track Link (Link Plate)
    Material: High-end products use high-strength alloy steel (e.g., 35MnB), while lower-end products use regular high-carbon steel (e.g., 40Mn2, 45 steel).
    Process: Forged and then heat-treated (quenching + tempering), the surface is hardened through medium-frequency quenching to a depth of 4-10mm, achieving a hardness of HRC50-56.

  2. Pin and Bushing
    Material: Pins are made from 40Cr or 40MnB steel, while bushings undergo carburizing to enhance wear resistance.
    Process: Pins are depth hardened (HRC52-58), and bushings have their outer surface quenched, followed by tempering and precision grinding of the inner bore.

  3. Seals
    Material: High-quality chains use imported seals from Europe (e.g., Italy's BERCO), which are high-temperature resistant (-50℃ to 180℃) and offer excellent dust protection.
    Lubrication System:
    Design: Uses specialized lubricants (e.g., synthetic oils) to reduce friction between links and pins, minimizing oil leakage risks.
    Structure: Features a Pressure Pre-Lubricated (PPR) design to ensure stable lubrication under extreme conditions.

II. Impact of Components on Quality

  1. Track Link
    Material Impact: Alloy steel links have 30-50% higher tensile strength than regular steel, doubling service life.
    Process Impact: The medium-frequency quenching hardening layer resists abrasion from sand and gravel, while untreated low-end chains often fracture due to insufficient core toughness.

  2. Pin and Bushing
    Compatibility: Hardness must be gradient-matched between the pin (HRC52-58) and bushing (HRC50-54) to avoid abnormal wear.
    Carburizing Impact: Carburized bushings have 20% improved wear resistance, reducing replacement frequency under mining conditions.

  3. Seals
    Consequences of Seal Failure: Low-end seals tend to leak lubricating oil, increasing friction and causing "dry wear" on the chain, shortening its lifespan by over 50%.
    Lubrication System: Chains that are not pre-lubricated under heavy loads can generate high temperatures, accelerating wear (e.g., elongation of pitch, detachment of links).

  4. Manufacturing and Assembly Precision
    Dimensional Tolerances: Precision machining ensures that the assembly gap of the links is ≤0.2mm; excessive gaps can lead to "snake-like" misalignment of the chain.
    Quality Inspection Standards: Pressure testing (e.g., pressurized testing of each link before leaving the factory) can reduce oil leakage risks and enhance reliability.
